Come and see what a day in our Pre-K program is like! Our Pre-K teacher will take you and your child through a typical day of our program. Happy Summer

Well, we have officially completed our second year at The Academy. What a year! It was filled with many ups and downs, but one wonderful thing is that we continue to grow! What could be better than that? How are your summer plans coming? Not sure what to do with the kiddos now that they are on vacation? Getting Ready for Our Summer Program

I can't believe our Summer Program starts in just over one month. We are already getting set, making plans, getting our field trips and activities in order. Our response to the Summer Program has been great, and we are close to having 50 students enrolled. If you would like to register for our summer program, don't wait! We only have a few spots left. Our program will be filled with fun activities like games, art projects, stories, trips to the park and to the library. Each week of the program has a different theme such as, Fables and Fairy Tales, The Rainforest, America!, Take Me Out to the Ballgame, and more! Cinco de mayo!

Hola! Today during Spanish we celebrated Cinco de mayo with a fiesta! The day is not Mexican Independence Day as many people think. Cinco de mayo is celebrated because the Mexicans won a battle against the French Army in the town of Puebla.

In Spanish we colored pictures of the day, we played Bozo buckets, and we also had a pinata! What a fun day!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

Here we are in the month of April on a wet Friday morning! Staying positive, we will have some beautiful flowers come May. The Academy will be very busy the next two week before our Easter Break. Coming next week, we will be celebrating the Week of the Young Child. This is a week devoted to early learning and early literacy for our young students. We will have some special guests come in to read stories to our students. Our week will begin with a Kick-off Breakfast on Monday morning at 9am. It will be a great week, especially with our visitors coming in, and a field trip to the Eisenhower Public Library.

A few changes

We have to say CONGRATULATIONS to Mr. Tom! He was accepted to National-Louis University in their Masters Program for Education. His hours at The Academy will therefore become more limited, but he will still be around helping out with our website and in the classroom. Ms. Lori has returned to The Academy to help out in our preschool and with our EDP program! We are all very happy to have Ms. Lori back at The Academy for the rest of this school year.
